THE BEGINNINGS OF EARLY VERNON
(CLASSROOM PRESENTATION)
Content ~ The history of pioneer settlement and early growth of our area is told through archival photographs and artifacts from the museum’s collection. The time period covered is from the 1860’s to the 1910’s – from the era of gold mining and cattle ranching, to the construction of the Shuswap & Okanagan Railroad and the resulting rapid expansion of the community.
